On October 27th, I hosted an event for Scandinavia House in New York City, presenting Five Norwegian Writers You Should Know. I selected these five writers: Roy Jacobsen, Jan Grue, Kaja Kvernbakken, Ruth Lillegraven. In the video below, you can watch me introduce each writer, before they do a quick reading in Norwegian and a longer one in English, and have a quick conversation with me. We also had a small conversation with everyone about current Norwegian literature. I was very happy that we were able to use NORLA’s offices and thus be in the same room for this event.
